Nicole

Well, it looks like we'd got a pregnant dog! We were asked to help Nicole and her companion Nora by an advocate at a shelter in Georgia. Despite being at capacity, our hearts are big, and helping dogs in need is what we do — both were scheduled to be euthanized, so we agreed to step in. What we didn't know was that Nicole was pregnant and more than halfway through it. No one at the shelter had realized she was expecting; it was actually the boarding facility's owner who suspected it, and our veterinarian confirmed it. So not only did we save Nicole, but it turns out we saved several little lives along with her. On June 16, Nicole gave birth to five healthy puppies — four boys and one girl. She's currently nursing her babies and not yet spayed or available for adoption, but stay tuned for updates on Nicole and her growing family!
