REWAR Adoption Process

 

At Robert E. Williams Animal Rescue (REWAR), our goal is to ensure every pet finds a safe, loving, and permanent home. Because of that, our adoption process is thorough but rewarding for both you and your new furry family member.

Step 1: Apply to Adopt  
Complete the adoption form (above) or download & complete (Word or PDF) and email it to rewar811@gmail.com.

Step 2: Application Review  
We will carefully review your adoption application within one week of receipt. This process includes reference checks, a veterinarian reference, and follow-up questions if needed. If you do not hear from us within two weeks, we are unfortunately unable to move forward with your application, but we sincerely appreciate your interest in giving a rescue dog a loving home.

Step 3: Home Visit  
A home check is arranged to make sure your environment is safe and a good fit for the pet.

Step 4: Meet & Greet  
Once approved, you’ll meet your potential new pet in person to ensure a good match.  

​

Step 5: Adoption Contract & Fee  

If it’s a good fit—and both REWAR and the potential adopter would like to move forward—you’ll sign an adoption contract and provide the adoption fee. Every REWAR animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption.

Step 6: Bring Your Pet Home  
After completing the process, you’ll welcome your new family member into your home!
