Jillian
Meet Jillian – A Rescue with a Special Story
Jillian (MALE) is one of our most recent rescues from Bartow County, GA. He was saved on August 11th, a date that holds deep meaning for us, it’s the birthday of our rescue’s founder, Robert Williams, who passed away from pancreatic cancer.
On that same day, Jillian was scheduled to be euthanized. His owner had been incarcerated with no known release date and was also battling terminal pancreatic cancer. Sadly, no one in the owner’s family came for him despite knowing his fate.
The parallels were too powerful for us to ignore. On Robert’s birthday, with the dog owner facing the same disease that took his life and no one to save him —we couldn’t say no. We are told that Jillian was his Owner’s whole world💔. Jillian was rescued just in time and is now safe under our care. Also a big thank you to Julie for advocating for Jillian and so many other dogs.
He is a sweet and gentle soul who’s understandably confused, but we’re told he gets along well with other dogs and loves people and are evaluating as well. He will be available for adoption after full vetting.
📍 We are currently seeking:
• A foster home in New Jersey
• A forever home for adoption
